Privacy Policy
KensaSocial (“we”, “us”) is a local-first social media scheduling product operated by Kensa Digital. This policy explains what data is stored on your device, what leaves your device at publish time, and how third parties are involved.
Local data (on your machine)
By design, your draft posts, schedule queue, and settings are stored locally in a SQLite vault on your computer, typically under ~/.kensasocial/ or a project data/ directory in development. This includes:
- Scheduled post content and metadata
- Your Lemon Squeezy license key (after activation)
- A stable machine identifier used for license device binding
- Application settings (for example catch-up mode)
We do not operate a cloud database of your queue or draft content.
Data transmitted at publish or connect time
When you connect a social account or publish a scheduled post, KensaSocial sends the minimum data required to complete that action through our license verification service and an authorized publishing partner. This may include:
- Your license key (for verification)
- A profile identifier bound to your license
- Post text and platform-specific fields (for example Reddit title and subreddit)
- Target platform names
Our edge verification service validates your license and forwards publish requests. It is designed not to persist your post content or queue state.
Third-party services
- Lemon Squeezy — processes payments, issues license keys, and handles tax as Merchant of Record. See Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy.
- Social platforms — when you connect accounts via OAuth (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Bluesky, Threads, Discord, Telegram), you authenticate directly with those providers under their terms and privacy policies.
- Cloudflare — hosts our license verification edge service.
- Publishing infrastructure — handles OAuth token storage and platform API calls on your behalf after you connect accounts.
Telemetry
KensaSocial does not include product analytics or usage telemetry in the client application. Operational logs may appear locally on your machine (for example daemon dispatch messages on stderr).
Your choices
- You can delete local vault data by removing your KensaSocial data directory and reinstalling.
- You can revoke platform connections through each social network’s account settings or by reconnecting in the KensaSocial dashboard.
- License device transfers are managed through Lemon Squeezy activation limits; contact us if you need help moving to a new machine.
